Emergency Preparedness

Being prepared is the best way to minimize problems when a disaster occurs. The SCAV is a member of the South Carolina Emergency Support Function 17 – Animal Emergency Preparedness. This multi-agency group works statewide to prepare and respond to emergencies involving animals.

Preparing ahead of time and acting quickly are the best ways to keep you and your family, including your animals, out of danger. SCAV offers a brochure with important action guidelines for all to use when preparing their companion animals during emergencies. View it here to view or download.
