Do you want to learn or refine you knowledge and skillset for intra-articular injections. This lab will begin with a comprehensive discussion of osteoarthritis pathophysiology, intra-articular therapies and their mechanism of action, a step-by-step guide to performing intra-articular injections, post procedural recommendations and management, and potential complications. The intra-articular therapies discussed will include, hyaluronic acid, cortisone, platelet rich plasma, and stem cell therapy. Attendees will perform hands-on intra-articular injections of the carpus, elbow, shoulder, hock, stifle, and hip on canine cadaver limbs under instructor supervision. Brittany Jean Carr Benson, DVM, DACVSMR, CCRT will lead this lab that is scheduled at the ocean-front Myrtle Beach Marriott.
