Phyllis Beasley, CPDT-KA, has over 20 years’ experience training dogs. She earned her Certified Professional Dog Trainer-Knowledge Assessed from the Council for the Certification of Professional Dog Trainers (CCPDT) in 2011 and is a certified Fear-Free trainer. She has been a member of the Association of Professional Dog Trainers since the early 2000's. She is a professional member of the Pet Professional Guild, an association dedicated to promoting force-free training. She is also a Supporting Member of the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants, an American Kennel Club Canine Good Citizen Evaluator, and a Pet Partners therapy animal evaluator.

Victoria Bender, DVM, BS in Biology is a 2016 graduate of University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine and earned her BS in Biology from Duke University. Following graduation, she completed an internship in exotic animal medicine in Raleigh, NC. Dr. Bender now works as an associate veterinarian at Avian and Exotic Animal Hospital of Georgia in Savannah with a caseload composed entirely of exotic mammals, birds, reptiles, fish, and wildlife. She is currently the President Elect of the Association of Exotic Mammal Veterinarians (AEMV) after serving on the board for 3 years. She also works as a professional actor and improviser.
 

Bradley Bishop, DVM, DACVIM (SAIM)  likes all aspects of internal medicine but particularly enjoys immune-mediated and gastrointestinal disease. Various minimally invasive diagnostics and endoscopic procedures are also some of his favorite things to do, including retrieval of foreign bodies and airway washes. With every case, Dr. Bishop greatly values the long-term bond he gets to form with pets and their owners. In his spare time, Dr. Bishop enjoys traveling and hiking (he says Iceland is a must for anyone that loves the outdoors). He also enjoys crafting classic cocktails or inventing his own and is a big supporter of all of the professional Charlotte sports teams. More than anything, he loves spending time with his family: Remmy (Shepherd Mix), Basil (Golden Retriever), and Olivia (human).
 

Amy DeClue , DVM   was a Professor of Veterinary Internal Medicine and the Assistant Director of the Comparative Internal Medicine Laboratory at the University of Missouri prior to joining Fetch. Her research focused on investigating the immunologic mechanisms of sepsis and innate immune system disorders. Dr. DeClue’s clinical interests include endocrinology and critical care. Dr. DeClue has lectured on sepsis, immunology, and endocrinology nationally and internationally and has published numerous book chapters and peer-reviewed manuscripts. In her free time, Dr. DeClue enjoys spending time with her husband and dog. They love to be active together and are often found training for triathlons, hiking, or enjoying water sports. In the span of just one year, Dr. DeClue has raced 18 half marathons and completed four half-ironman races. Five of those half marathons were all raced within one month! It’s safe to say she really enjoys endurance sports and challenging herself in that area.
Amanda L. Donnelly, DVM, MBA,  is a second-generation veterinarian with a diverse background in small animal practice, business management, industry, speaking and consulting.  Dr. Donnelly works with veterinarians who want to grow their business and have their team look forward to coming to work every day. 

She is the author of the book 101 Practice Management Questions Answered. Dr. Donnelly is a dynamic speaker who always provides practical information to her audiences. She has twice been named Practice Management Speaker of the Year at NAVC.

Heather Duncan, DVM, DAVDC, received her doctorate from Purdue University. She completed a veterinary dentistry and oral surgery residency at the Animal Dental Center of Baltimore. She achieved her Diplomate status from the College of Veterinary Dentistry and practices at Upstate Veterinary Specialists in Greenville.
  Derek Foster is an Associate Professor of Ruminant Medicine at North Carolina State University, College of Veterinary Medicine. Derek received his DVM degree from NC State in 2004, became a diplomate in ACVIM-Large Animal in 2007 and completed his PhD in 2012.
 

Corinne Goldman, DVM, MS, DACVIM (Small Animal Internal Medicine) 

Dr. Goldman, Diplomate, American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine, is a Maryland native, and grew up in the suburbs of Washington, D.C. She earned her BS degree and DVM from Virginia Tech and remains an avid fan. She completed an internship at Carolina Veterinary Specialists, followed by an internal medicine residency and Masters Degree in Veterinary Science at Purdue University. During her residency, Dr. Goldman developed an interest in nephrology and minimally invasive urology, and pioneered non-surgical alternatives for management of lower urinary tract disorders as an associate internist at South Carolina Veterinary Specialists and Emergency Care in Columbia, SC 2008-2021. Dr. Goldman joined Oncura Veterinary Partners in November 2021 and is currently providing small animal internal medicine telemedicine consulting throughout North America. She is a member of the Veterinary Interventional Radiology and Interventional Endoscopy Society, Past Chair of the SAIM Residency Training Program Committee for ACVIM, and is a past-president of the Greater Columbia Association of Veterinarians. She lectures on the local, state, and national levels and has published articles in veterinary gastroenterology and urology and is co-author of a chapter in the textbook Nephrology and Urology of Small Animals. After Hours: Corinne enjoys golf and traveling abroad, hiking in the upstate and the Blue Ridge, exploring local art galleries, and weekends on Seabrook Island, SC. 
Quincey Hawley, DVM, graduated from NC State’s College of Veterinary medicine in 2013 and worked for Banfield Pet Hospital in Fayetteville, NC for five years. At the beginning of 2018, Dr. Hawley resigned from his career as a practicing veterinarian and is now pursuing his life mission, which is to provide wellness solutions for the veterinary community. Combining his entrepreneurial desire with his desire to be a motivational speaker and life coach, Dr. Hawley created Dream Life Motivation, a professional speaking and personal and professional life coaching business, which encourages the pursuit of health, wealth, full potential, and authentic happiness.   Myriam Jimenez  

Dr. Myriam Jimenez is a native of Mexico City. She grew up close to her extended family of which her uncle Joshua is a DVM. He would take her on calls and she knew she would be a DVM from an early age. She got her DVM from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). She thought she would be a small animal surgeon (soft tissue), but she fell in love with food animal medicine mid her veterinary degree. Upon graduation she worked at a large dairy and then did her combined residency-MS program, followed by a PhD with the UF College of Veterinary Medicine team FARMS.  Upon finishing her PhD degree, she got hired at Virginia Tech Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine and started her journey as an Assistant Clinical Professor in Production Management Medicine in January 2022. Other than running around helping production animals and doing herd work, Myriam loves spending time with her 3yo son Caleb, husband Mason and 2 dogs. Hikes, drawing and painting are also hobbies she enjoys.
  Benjamin Lee, DVM, DACVIM (Oncology)  met his wife in veterinary school in Starkville, MS, and they are both veterinarians now. He grew up in Charleston, SC, and his wife is a Clemson alumnus from Greer, SC. Dr. Lee’s primary interests are novel approaches to the treatment of cancer, with a primary focus on lymphoma, mast cell tumors, hemangiosarcoma, osteosarcoma, and histiocytic sarcoma. Developing new approaches that combine traditional treatments with newer targeted therapies is his current primary focus, as well as exploring new therapeutics as they become available like immunotherapy. His favorite part of practicing veterinary medicine is developing relationships with the pets and their families and seeing positive responses to treatment. Dr. Lee and his wife are incredibly excited to be moving back to the state they have called home for most of their lives. They have 3 dogs and 3 cats and they love spending time outdoors hiking and climbing and traveling when they can.

Elise Littleton, LVT, VTS (ECC)  graduated from Tri-County Technical College in 2007 and started working in Emergency medicine right away. In addition to her licensure as a technician, she achieved a Veterinary Technician Specialty in Emergency and Critical Care in 2013 while working at The University of TN Veterinary Medical Center in the Small Animal Critical Care department. Her next step was a move to Colorado to help start a Small Animal ICU department in a specialty hospital in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. Elise relocated to Greenville, SC in 2016 while working remotely for an online veterinary education company called VetBloom. Her passion for the field drove her into consulting with Integrity Animal Health Group and eventually turned into a full-time management position. She is also a RECOVER CPR Certified Trainer for Canine and Feline Basic and Advanced Life Support.

 
Renee Machel is co-founder of Get Motiveted, a well-being-solutions focused community for veterinarians. Ms. Machel is also a Professional Life Coach and Yoga instructor. She has authored numerous articles for veterinary publications and hosts a podcast focusing on well-being. Prior to launching Get Motiveted, Machel worked at several veterinary clinics in Michigan and North Carolina as both a veterinary assistant and practice manager.
  Theresa McCollister was born and raised in Upstate NY and holds a BS Degree in Zoology and a Master’s Degree in Environmental Policy and Management. She has been employed by the South Carolina Department of Health Environmental Control (SCDHEC) within the Rabies Prevention Program since 2017. Terri is a pillar of support, serving as the statewide technical advisor for SC DHEC, with enforcing the SC Rabies Control Act and providing guidance to team members and citizens, as needed. She is responsible for creating and maintaining rabies related resources such as animal bite report forms, educational outreach materials, program directives, standard operating procedures, webpages, rabies testing data, and media releases. Terri also plays a role in, coordinating low-cost rabies vaccine clinics with state veterinarians, collaborating responses to rabies positive cases with regional team members, CDC, regional Medical Directors, and state Epidemiologists. Additionally, she maintains the afterhours and holiday rabies reporting hotline that connects citizens and medical personnel directly with a member of the rabies prevention team. She encourages and empowers forward-looking, creative solutions to promote and protect the health of the public and the environment. Terri is very passionate about her work and does a tremendous job serving the citizens of South Carolina

Michael Neault, DVM, BS Biology is the State Veterinarian and Director of the Livestock Poultry Health Department at Clemson University. Prior to that, he was at the North Carolina Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services Veterinary Division as the Director of Livestock Animal Health Programs. Dr. Neault got his doctorate in veterinary medicine from Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1996, and his BS Biology at the University of Michigan-Dearborn 1991. 

Rudy Rivas, DVM, DACVR is a staff radiologist at CVETS. Dr. Rivas was born in Caracas, Venezuela, and grew up in Barinas, a town in the southwestern part of the country. Growing up on a farm in Venezuela, he always knew he wanted to be a veterinarian. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Georgia, majoring in Biology and Psychology. Afterwards, he attended the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine. After graduating, Dr. Rivas completed a one-year small animal rotating internship at Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine and then matched for a Diagnostic Imaging Residency at North Carolina State University. Dr. Rivas is a diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Radiology.
  Andy Roark, DVM is a practicing veterinarian, international speaker, author, and media personality. He is the founder of the Uncharted Veterinary Conference and DrAndyRoark.com. He has been an award-winning columnist for DVM360 and his popular Facebook page, website, podcast and YouTube show reach millions of people every month.


Dr. Roark has received the NAVC Practice Management Speaker of the Year Award three times, the WVC Practice Management Educator of the Year Award, the Outstanding Young Alumni Award from the University of Florida’s College of Veterinary Medicine, and the Veterinarian of the Year Award from the South Carolina Association of Veterinarians. His greatest achievement however involves marrying a bad-ass scientist and raising 2 kind and wonderful daughters.

Charles Rosenkrans, Jr. Ph.D. Animal Science/Reproductive Physiology, M.S. Animal Science/Swine Management, B.S. Animal Science. Dr. Rosenkrans is the chair at the Clemson University Animal and Veterinary Sciences Department.  He is a Missouri native that trained at University of Missouri, Kansas State University, and University of Wisconsin. He started his academic career at University of Arkansas in 1991 before moving to Clemson in August 2019. His research interests target the discovery of scientific, fact-based understanding of animal growth and development from gamete formation to animal expiration.
Sarah Scott, DVM, is the owner of Scott Mobile Veterinary Services, LLC, a mobile mixed animal veterinary service. She grew up on a small hobby farm in Gaston, SC and went to Clemson University for her Bachelor of Animal and Veterinary Sciences with a Pre-Veterinary emphasis in 2013.  She then attended Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine where she earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2017. Besides being on call to attend to animals for most of their veterinary care needs, in their respective locations, as a mixed animal relief veterinarian, she fills in at a few clinics around the midlands when other doctors need to be out for various reasons. 
 

Keri Shaver, DVM, was born and raised in Stanly County, North Carolina, and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science at North Carolina State University. She then went on to earn a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from NC State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Shaver spent over 10 years as an Associate Veterinarian at West Stanly Animal Clinic in Locust, NC, before joining Merck Animal Health in 2020. Dr. Shaver’s desire to be a veterinarian began with her love of animals and wanting to serve her community by helping people’s pets. One of her favorite parts about being a veterinarian is educating pet parents on how they can help prevent diseases in their pets. Dr. Shaver has a special interest in preventive medicine, practice management, and dermatology.   Dr. Shaver is married to her husband, Bobby, and they have a son (Charlie)and daughter (Kolbie). The Shaver family share their home with an Australian shepherd and two beagles. They also have four American quarter horses.Dr. Shaver enjoys horseback riding, being outdoors, various sporting activities like CrossFit and hiking, and spending time with her family.

Katie Sheats, DVM, Ph.D, DACVIM, Dr. Katie Sheats is an Associate Professor of Equine Primary Care and a specialist in Equine Internal Medicine who works in the Department of Clinical Sciences at NCSU College of Veterinary Medicine in Raleigh, NC. She completed her DVM, Equine Internship, Large Animal Medicine Residency, and PhD in Comparative Biomedical Science at North Carolina State University and is board certified in Large Animal Internal Medicine. As both an equine clinician and veterinary educator, Katie has two main areas of research. One is focused on veterinary education, while the other is focused on equine health research. Her education research interests include curriculum development, competency assessment, communication and clinical reasoning. Her equine health research is focused on leveraging her understanding of innate immunity to improve the diagnosis, prognosis and treatment for neutrophil-mediated host tissue injury in patients with diseases such as sepsis and severe asthma
  Geof Smith received a BS in animal and dairy science from Clemson University in 1994. From there he received a MS in toxicology from University of Illinois in 1996 and a DVM in 1998. Following graduation, Geof remained at the University of Illinois for another 4 years while he completed an internship and residency in ruminant internal medicine along with a PhD in physiology. Dr Smith joined was a Professor of Ruminant Medicine at North Carolina State University for 20 years before joining Zoetis as a Dairy Technical Services Veterinarian. He is a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (ACVIM) and his primary clinical and research interests revolve around clinical medicine of ruminants with a specific focus on calf health. He has published over 100 peer-reviewed manuscripts and has edited 2 books on calf health and fluid therapy.
  Ron Southerland, DVM graduated from the University of Tennessee in 1986 and was in private practice for 15 years. He has been with USDA APHIS Veterinary Services formerly as a Field Veterinary Medical Officer in Northeast Ohio, and currently as the Area Epidemiology Officer in South Carolina for the past three years. Dr. Southerland is also a Veterinary Corps Officer in the US Army Reserve for over 17 years and has deployed three times, the most recent being in 2020 – 2021.

Tristan Weinkle DVM, DACVIM (SAIM), Dr. Weinkle graduated from Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine and went on to advanced training at Angell Memorial Animal Hospital and Cornell University.  After completing his small animal internal medicine residency he settled in Columbia, SC and helped to grow a multispecialty and emergency practice there, with clinical interests focused on hepatobiliary and GI disease, as well as immunohematology.  Dr. Weinkle currently runs a business focused on mobile ultrasound and internal medicine consultations, educational endeavors, and other consulting efforts.   In his free time, Dr. Weinkle serves on multiple boards and advisory councils and enjoys ultralight backpacking, backcountry camping, and time with family.  
Jan Woods’ health care career has spanned over thirty years in both human and veterinary medicine. In 2001, Ms. Woods moved into veterinary medicine as the Hospital Administrator for Veterinary Specialty & Emergency Center of Kansas City, (VSEC). She has also been the Co-Owner, Hospital Administrator and Vice President of the Veterinary Specialty Center of Tucson, (VSCT). From 2018- 2020 she was the Director of Education & Regulatory Affairs Manager for Cubex, LLC. In 2020, Jan became a Zoetis Key Opinion Leader and joined Veterinary Business Advisors as their Regulatory and Operational Consultant. Jan owns two companies: Veterinary Management and Marketing Specialists and AskJanForHelp.com. Jan speaks and consults with veterinarians nationally on a full-time basis. Her areas of expertise encompass compliance with DEA regulations, as well as other state and federal regulations, clinic and hospital practice management & operations, human resources, finance, and marketing.
